Feb. 1, 2018 - Adults and children alike are encouraged to come watch the movie "Marshall," starring Chadwick Boseman, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Hampton's Main Library, 4207 Victoria Blvd.
The movie tells the story of a young Thurgood Marshall when he was a crusading lawyer for the NAACP. Marshall later went on to become the first black justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Register by calling 311 or 727-8311 (from cellphones and phones outside Hampton).
The screening is part of the free "Movie Talks" program sponsored by the Citizens' Unity Commission and Hampton Public Library System. The goal is to get residents talking about diversity, unity and inclusion, using movies to spark the discussion. Admission, popcorn and drinks are all free.
