'For The Record' tackles some key Hampton topics, starting with crime

ftr-crime-nf

Aug. 9, 2017 - What is Hampton doing about crime? That's the first topic posted  Wednesday in a new page on the city's website called "For The Record." The information will be updated regularly to address some of the most pressing, controversial or interesting issues in Hampton.  And for the record, any crime is too much, but Hampton's crime rate is below the region's average.  While crime has risen in the city for the past three years , Hampton is still much safer than it was a decade ago. Learn more about what the city is doing to combat crime - and look for new topics weekly - at www.hampton.gov/fortherecord.
