May 25, 2017 - Players and coaches are wanted to take part in Hampton Hoops, a summer basketball program that will promote healthy communities and having fun in a safe environment. The focus is on improving social interaction and building character among males and females ages 11 and up. Volunteers are needed to serve as coaches, team parents, advocates and, of course, players.

The league is open to males and females ages 11 and up who live in Hampton. There will be three divisions based on age: 11-14, 15-17, and 18 and up. Practice and games will be held at community centers throughout the city. There are no fees to take part in Hampton Hoops and registration ends June 15 - or when all spaces are filled. Games will be held twice a week from July 3-Aug 3. Go online to register and for more information.
