Classes start March 30 for Citizens Fire Academy

Feb. 17, 2016 - Classes for the next Citizens fire Academy begin Wednesday March 30 from 7-9 p.m. Classes will continue each Wednesday evening through May 18, covering everything from engine company operations to vehicle extrication and an EMS training overview.

Come experience what it takes to provide fire and emergency medical service for the citizens of Hampton with this free, eight-week interactive course. Meet the fire chief and talk with other fire and emergency personnel.

Minors as young as 16 can take classes with an attending guardian or parent. Students who complete the course receive a certificate of completion on the last night of the Academy.

Online registration and more information is available at www.hampton.gov/fire. Or contact Captain Joe Brown at jbrown@hampton.gov or 757-727-6580.
