Fiddle performance of Colonial to Revolutionary-era music

Monday, November 6, 2017

Award-winning fiddler and music historian David Gardner performs and talks about “Fiddle Music from Jamestown to Yorktown” as part of the Hampton History Museum’s Port Hampton Lecture Series. Gardner will take attendees on a musical journey through 174 years of history by playing music that would have been enjoyed by the earliest settlers, and up to what Virginians were listening to at the end of the American Revolution. He tells this entertaining story on a collection of historically appropriate instruments.
