Hampton’s Economic Development Department can assist you with locating appropriate commercial and industrial properties, or available land throughout the City of Hampton that fits your unique project parameters.
Hampton has a unique mix of business and industrial parks that are strategically located and open for business. All our parks are adjacent to interstates or major highways, the Port of Virginia, and international air terminals, providing easy access to the US and the world.
In 2003, Hampton City Staff identified strategic areas that would benefit from developing a unique roadmap for further development. Over a period of four years, master plans for these areas were developed with input from local businesses, residents, civic groups and other community stakeholders.
The designation, which covers much of downtown and Phoebus, was created to encourage arts-based businesses and cultural institutions to locate or expand in the district. It is also designed to highlight and strengthen the existing arts and cultural assets in the downtown Hampton and Phoebus areas in a connected way that creates synergy and additional foot traffic.
